Confused about Part 107 VLOS requirements

Where specifically is that stated?

The portion about "not a device" may have been changed IIRC but the portion about co-located was on several documents at one point. The new VLOS specs were just revised and the revisions added to the Registry a few days ago. I'll see if I can dig them up and post them here.

With or without the above reference the VO does not extend the VLOS from the RPIC. The VO is there to enhance SA and can only assume full VLOS to allow the RPIC to momentarily do things to enhance Safety! At any point of the flight while the VO is exercising the role of VLOS the RPIC (or the person manipulating the controls) must be able to look up and immediately assume VLOS of the aircraft.

One has to also consult the AC107-2, now known as the AC 107-2a as of 3-16-2021.

I believe it adds even more to the confusion. But, also leaves us with a path for "Momentary loss of VLOS" and it allows us the proper loopholes to clear this up. Since the AC documents do not require congressional oversite to make modifications.
