Someone asked me and I could not give an answer. Say an FD is fighting a large wildland fire and wants to request a TFR. Would that be done with an SGI via the SOSC? Anyone here done a TFR?

We've done one. You use the SGI process and they will coordinate with the FSDO. It takes a LOT of work and you'll have to have your ducks in a row. If it's URGENT they can (not saying they will) make it happen ASAP and you finish the paperwork after the event but that's NOT how it happened for us.

There was a recent post about this very topic with some good replies over in the UAS for Public Safety FB group... it's only been a week or so since I saw.
