Do you have a facebook page for your business?

Thanks for sharing that KM. I am very new to facebook, so others may correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the way you are set up as your business page being a sub-page is normal and the only way it can be done.

Anyway, are you getting business directly from facebook or is it leading to a website first?
Yes, I think Facebook recently changed their policy so that you have to have your company page linked to a personal account.

I have a Facebook company page, but probably don't use it effectively. I've had it for a little over a year, and have just 200 followers to show for it. I was posting work related drone videos there, and then sharing the post on my personal Facebook account, for friends to see while referencing my work page; but I decided with my last video to post directly on both my business page AND on my personal page (vs sharing); and I've gotten a huge (at least for me) number of views on my personal page in a little over two days: 28,000 views while my work page has only 19 views... and I only have about 250 "friends" on my personal page as well. So, not sure if people are more likely to look at video if it looks like it's "personal" vs a spammy company? FWIW, most of my work page followers are actually not "friends" on my personal account--so, it's not exactly the same group of people.

As far as boosting Facebook posts, it depends on the post. You'll get pretty limited exposure of your posts if you rely on the free newsfeed dispersion. If you have something important, carefully select your audience and pay to boost it. No bucks, no Buck Rogers.

I am getting a little bit of both actually, but FB leads to way more sales than my website.

A Facebook page can be a great business tool, IF you use it properly. My suggestion would be to never mix personal posts with business posts. If it is for your drone business, keep it strictly to that. Make posts that will interest people. Make them want to follow you. Your goal is to keep your or your company's face in front of them so that they'll remember you when the need arises.

Another thing about Facebook pages. You have to drive traffic there. If you work it passively it probably won't do much for you.

Agreed on all counts.

We have a Facebook page for another interest of ours, and we didn't post any personal pics on it or any of our personal info.

We promoted our You Tube videos on it, and our views went from 10,000 to 500,000 VERY quickly. You most certainly DO have to keep it in front of people's faces or they will forget.

I have a Facebook business page that I try to post something to every few weeks (when I remember), so it is more current than the Website which I haven't updated since I created it over a year ago.

I have tried the boost a few times, but despite my including close geographical targeting, the vast majority of views always come from Mexico! So I haven't bothered wasting $ (pesos?) on that recently.

I don't think I have directly got any business from either, but then I am clearly not putting the effort into them needed to get any response.

Do I want anyone commenting on and viewing my business page? For example, I am doing some construction progress drone photos for our new church building project. There is lots of interest in those photos on the church facebook. If I post comments there I'm likely to have many of them looking at my photos on my own facebook page and liking them, etc., but none of them are likely prospects. Does this kind of interest and commenting help or does it hurt?

Facebook and social media in general are best for business exposure. Will you likely be reeling-in client after client? No, but it is an excellent tool and avenue for expanding your reach among potential clients. There is no better/cheaper way to showcase your work and become the go-to specialist in your area. As previously stated, absolutely do NOT make personal posts on your business page - keep them seperate. Boosting posts can be a powerful tool if you take the time to set-up parameters to reach your target audience.

Videos tend to capture people's interest and engagement more than still photos, so it's no surprise that your latest video received more views and likes. As for using Facebook for business prospects, many businesses have found success on the platform. It can definitely help you reach a wider audience and generate more interest in your offerings.

I see it’s been a while, but I’d like to say that Facebook is indeed a fantastic platform to enhance your online presence. And I’d like to note that Facebook and Instagram are connected. Leveraging both platforms can create a powerful synergy and attract even more subscribers and views. By building a strong presence on Instagram, you can attract more followers and views on Facebook, and vice versa. (Link removed by ADMIN)
