Drone Deploy Alternatives

Howdy,

I'm trying to break into the business of inspecting parking lots and roofs for large enterprises such a hospitals, an idea sparked by Drone Deploy's image processing. My problem is Drone Deploy expects me to pay $8k/yr whether or not I can sell the service. I've taken a brief look at some of the competitors (Arcgis, Precision Analytics, PIX4D) and I'm not seeing a ready infrastructure reporting suite in any of them. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go to find a DD competitor?

That price jump is tough when you are still trying to validate the service.

I would probably separate the problem into two parts: processing and reporting. A lot of tools can process images or build maps, but the real value for hospitals, parking lots, and roof inspections may be the final report the client can actually understand and use.

If the goal is to sell inspections before committing to a big annual platform cost, I’d start with a lower-cost workflow that lets you create clean deliverables, photos, annotations, measurements if needed, and a simple PDF report. Once you prove demand, then it is easier to justify paying for a more complete platform.

For enterprise clients, I think the reporting format and repeatability may matter as much as the processing software itself.
