I don't think their launch went well as we got bombarded with emails regarding a pre-register with only 100 spots prior to the launch. I figured they'd want money so I never clicked on them. I think we received 3 emails in the hours leading up to it saying there were still spots left and once the 100 spots were filled they would close registration. Then after the launch, they still had spots available.

We haven't used them since well before COVID as they have tried to standardize undercutting the pilot's earning potential using a model that would crumble if pilots rejected their low-ball offers of payouts.

I don’t understand your thinking. It’s a free market the way free markets work if somebody is willing to do work for a certain price then that becomes the price.
By my standards you’re under priced I don’t leave the door for under $100 an hour.
But I’m not criticizing you if there’s a job and you feel like it’s worth it then it’s perfectly fine. There’s no ethics problems with that.
Truth be told the kind of jobs that droners and Zeitview offer really don’t take much skill at all.
And that’s why the price is low just about anybody can grab a drone , Learn a bit about it practice some and do those jobs.
That’s the real reason they don’t pay much. It’s a low skill job. And even though the FAA made the part 107 test artificially difficult given time and practice just about anybody could pass it. You actually don’t even have to demonstrate any skill at all to get your certificate.

Not saying their there aren’t difficult jobs it’s just they’re not there at those shops.

And let’s face it after your first 50 60 jobs. Those jobs are just flat out boring.

If you take the time and invest the money to get a thermography certification, you will earn better money, just as an example. It’s up to you to gain the skills that are worth paying more for.

No one’s entitled to arbitrarily earn more money for something that the market says is not worth more money.

You completely missed the point of the post. The work that I do is highly specialized and I do not work for less than $150/hr. and in some instances $250. If you don't understand my line of thinking on why companies treating drone Pilot's like sweatshop factory workers and not holding Pilots accountable for following regulations is bad for us all, then maybe you are part of the problem. If the public thinks they can hire Pilots for $30/hr then our market will never grow and by sending inexperienced and unskilled Pilots the clients will not learn to respect what we do or what is actually possible with the technology.
