Shout out from Wilmington, NC. We have a media business here mostly dealing with video and software. Been flying for a few years now. Started with a cheap foam air hog quad just to get some chops with flying. That thing is still flying to this day and I still use it a lot because it is squirrely and keeps me on my toes. Cut my teeth on aerial photography earlier this year. I got a Spark and absolutely love it. I won't be using it for pro work but it's a great learning machine and travels easy.
I'm scheduled for my part 107 test on February 9th. Studying for it makes my head spin. What's up with the government and acronyms? Any advice on subjects to study on? While i study, I continue to research the first pro bird to get. At this point the Phantom Pro is top on the list but the Typhoon H+ and H520 are intriguing as well. The ultimate goal for now is to find a platform to float a mirrorless camera with various lenses. Gotta prove to myself (and more importantly the wifey) that I can make this into an enterprise and not an expensive hobby.
Look forward to reading more here.
