I had to do photography in a blue zone. It states clearly on the DJI page that those areas need to be unlocked, and I was preparing to do that and was also preparing to be frustrated and not be able to unlock it, and I was making a back up plan to use an airplane.
But I was able to take off without having to unlock or without any notification or warning.
This blue zone was a long rectangle and not a circle around an airport, so I'm wondering if that was the reason, or do some of these blue zones begin at a certain altitude?
Anyway, not complaining. It was a relief that I didn't have to bother with all that, but am perplexed why I was able to do it.
