LAANC Coming Soon Question

An area fly near is controlled by a municipal airport (Chandler Municipal Airport) and in airmap it says automated authorization coming soon. It has said this for several months. How do I find out when LAANC will be operational for this airport?

If LAANC is not available at this time at that airport then you have a year or more to waiting. Chandler is probably an FCT and they were not included under LAANC. All my discussions with the FAA so far have yielded that they were talking about implementing LAANC for FCTs but have no date at this time. My guess would be at a minimum in two years.

Yeap, Chandler is contract so we are stuck for the time being.

Denton is the same but the locals gave me a wide area last time I applied as long as I stick to the Facilities altitude restrictions. Might give that a try on your folks too.
