Hallo Pilots!
I am disappointed of the RTK function, when flying under a bridge. I have to fly in ATTI mode in spite of the RTK base station having a good signal outside the bridge.
Am I doing it wrong? Any experience with this?

For RTK to be effective it requires that all GPS receivers be communicating time and position data to make comparisons. Take one or more receivers out of the chain and position accuracy goes out the window. The units that remain GPS active know where they are but not have a clue where the unit is that can no longer transmit position data. At best the unit not transmitting position will end up having a “soft” position reference using data from the remaining units. If using three GPS antennas, with two of them on the bird, there isn’t much left to work with if the aircraft antennas are occluded by a structure.

Thanks for your explanation - so the RTK and the satellites really doesn't help me in this situation surveying under a bridge. What do others use to model a bridge from below?
