It definately seems Metashape was the most accurate at stitching the photos together (as you can see in the tractor). These are my results on a particular building using Metashape and OpenDroneMapcompare.jpg

Great comparison between different software dougcjohn!

Metashape results do look really good! I'm still curious since I haven't heard of Lighting software (shame on me) is it also capable to process 3D-mesh? I think you are now comparing two 3D-mesh models and one point cloud (Lighting model).

But still the way Metashape gets sharp edges and vertical planes straight in 3D is impressive. I'm mostly having experience from Pix4D and as you have said there is most of the time no use for 3D-model (mesh) but I do use the 3D point clouds a lot.
