I'm about to lay in a new battery for my DJI P4P+ and notice a wide spread on prices for them on Amazon. Is there a reason to only get them from DJI? One brand better than another? Any company to avoid?

I look at it like this... is it worth risking the entire aircraft over saving a few dollars?
Keep in mind that the battery is a SINGLE POINT FAILURE POINT so if it fails the A/C falls to the ground. I would suggest buying from an authorized DJI Dealer and cutting some of the worry out of the equation.

Batteries are notoriously replicated by little companies all over the place. It’s very hard to tell whether they’re real or not from the outside, especially from just an online listing. Like BigA107 said, if it fails, it falls. So I highly recommend playing it’s safe and only buying from DJI or a reputable source like BH Photo or a local dealer.
