Greetings fellow pilots,

I'm a private pilot in North Alabama and own a Yuneec Typhoon that shoots HD/4K video. I've had it for a while so I consider myself to be an experienced drone pilot. I am opening a local commercial drone services business in my area and will probably benefit from the expertise in these forums. I am getting my business license and currently building my business plan. I have a website and Facebook page under development.

I look forward to exchanging ideas and info.

Cheers,

'Cruzi'

Welcome!

Since you already have your PPL, if you are current with your flight review, you can just take an online course and satisfy a few other requirements to get your 107, without having to take the knowledge test. Google "Part 61 to Part 107 application" and that should get you close.

To answer your other question, yes, you'll still need the 107 to operate commercially.
