The manual for my new Phantom 4 Pro says to discharge to 8% or zero for storage. However, all battery maintenance advice for other DJI drones says that LIPO's hate 100% charge and zero percent charge. The advice also says that if the charge goes to zero that the battery can never be able to be charged again as it loses it's little brain. My other DJI drone battery maintenance advice has always been to store LIPO's @ 50-65% depending on who your talking to.
Do you follow the Phantom's manual's guidance? I know it sounds like a dumb question because if the manual says to do it..then do it.
But, sometimes drone owners due to their own personal experience, follow different practices than recommended in the manual. I have a big investment in my batteries and don't want to screw this up.
I would appreciate your experience and feedback even if it's just a three word response...'Follow the Manual!'
