Got a mutual aid call out to assist the City of Coolidge (AZ) last night. Eight FDs responded. Only RFRD (yours truly) provided UAS support.

Command truck had a very cool telescoping TV mast but chemical cloud forced us to stage a quarter mile from the fire, which pretty much made command blind. UAS pics/video provided the only overwatch which helped command work out the plan of attack. I expect we may see an increased interest in UAS in the area.

Residents of the Landmark Ranch were given the "OK" to return to their homes after they were advised to evacuate as firefighters worked to contain a chemical fire at a plant in Coolidge, Arizona.
