I was recently asked to be the sUAS coordinator for our DSAR program and given the “challenge” by the director that if I can develop a good training program and get more pilots deplorable he will buy new equipment.
So, I need some training ideas. What is your organization doing to train folks up to a deployable status?
We have about 8 part 107 pilots. 2 of us are good to go. About 3 or 4 could be quickly brought up to spec I think. But there isn’t currently a well established training program. That’s what I’m working to build.
Any ideas are appreciated! BTW, our Org was about to pull the trigger on an M210 and then COVID hit and we lost our main fund raising event. So.. the org is serious but the director is a bit gun shy due to bad purchases in the past.
