On the occasion of the festivities of the San Fermines (Pamplona Navarra), three North American citizens have been denounced for flying their drones in an urban nucleus in circumstances contrary to those established by law and their drones have been seized.

The police have denounced them for the article 36.1 of the law of citizen security that says "Disturbance of public safety at public events, shows, etc. or cultural events, solemnities and religious services or other gatherings to which the the assistance of a large number of persons, where they do not constitute a criminal offence."

With this law has been put a heavy fine, but at the same time has been opened sanctioning proceedings by AESA, the Spanish agency of air safety. The sanctions that in turn can put them to breach the rules of air safety will leave the fines that have already put them as anecdote.

The article where it is explained is this, you know, you have to have an online translator always at hand ;)

Multón para tres personas por sobrevolar drones por los cielos de Pamplona durante San Fermín

I don't know if it's a coincidence or what it was, but all three are American. Will the FAA be happy?

Even if they had asked for it, without being operators approved by AESA, it is very difficult that they would have been granted it. We are talking about a city of 200,000 inhabitants that in San Fermines receives 1.5 million visitors in a week. With such a large number of people it is impossible to fly over areas that do not have a conglomeration of people, which is totally forbidden.

I have already commented it once, here to fly in urban nucleus and unprotected aerial space, not only you have to have permission of AESA, also of the municipal delegation and of the forces and security corps of the state. Any of the three can deny it to you, and in these circumstances with a 99.9% chance one of the three or all three will deny it to you.

The tendency is to make it harder and harder to do it legally ?
