I uploaded some video clips for the first time to Youtube. I was shooting in 4k and uploaded two clips to see how they would look online. The originals looked perfect. Very sharp and smooth. But the videos on Youtube have some artifacts and don't look pristine like other videos I've seen on Youtube. Any ideas what could be the problem? Could it be because I uploaded 4K and that they compressed it?

Not being a smart ***, but did you check in YouTube that you had enabled 4k quality during playback? It is down in the settings on the video you are playing back. Videos typically playback at 144k as default unless you change it.
