    Luanching Drone

You're still OPERATING from their property. This "loop hole" has been debunked many many times. If you are ON their property in any capacity you are to follow their rules and play nice.

Construction Progression of A Small House

But how do you know what the CLIENT wants and is willing to pay for? When you're providing a product to a paying client you have 2 options: 1) Give them a list of your "routine" shots and have them agree to that list and $$. 2) Give them options and have them tell you what they expect and work...

Nov 27, 2023 Site Mapping Project

I have several "Construction Clients" but I'll gladly address these (2) projects. The one noted above that doesn't have a structure yet is being performed for the Architectural Firm. They hired us directly from the suggestion of a previous client. The one at the first of this thread is being...

Nov 27, 2023 Site Mapping Project

Since DJI hasn't released the SDK for the Mini 4 Pro I had to use a new "Custom" process created by a local guy here in NC. Here's a link over on the MavicPilots forum: https://mavicpilots.com/threads/autonomous-3d-mapping-photogrammetry-tutorial-for-the-dji-mini-4-pro.144004/page-2#post-1627331

Nov 27, 2023 Site Mapping Project

Thank you. I'm surprised how well it turned out especially coming from the Mini 4 Pro, single pass, with no Lower Level Facade captures. That was literally a 5min 45sec flight and beyond simple to get a "decent" product. I can't wait to get back to my "Big Project" in 2 weeks and try it again...

Nov 27, 2023 Site Mapping Project

This project is sort of "both". The client wanted a Before Construction and a Post Construction model so I'm taking the "time between" to hone my skills (hopefully). I have another project that just finished the Rough Grading (aka BLASTING) today so I was able to test out some new processes...

Up and Coming new drone business in California

Welcome to the forum. Be sure to get your Part 107 ASAP otherwise you're operating in the illegal area which isn't a good way to start off. Here's a post I made on Mavic Pilots what is "similar" to this one: **** Begin quoted post**** The best way to figure out how to PRICE YOUR BUSINESS is to...

    Photography over water

First off WELCOME to the forum!! I just want to give my 2-cents in regards to using the CPL and your expectations of it. I've been "doing" photography for many years and for handheld cameras a CPL can help in many landscape situations. The problem is, the proper use of a CPL is to rotate it on...

Can you sell drone footage shot on US Forest Service as stock footage?

No it's pretty straight forward as far as I can tell. I'm surprised they don't require some type of "Commercial Drone Permit".

    Surveying questions

Very well stated. My favorite part of your message is one I use when talking with a new EMS Director about drones: Just like a Carpenter doesn't "only" have a hammer. A mechanic doesn't "only" have a screwdriver. They have various tools and techniques to do their jobs.
