Placement on top of the quad makes perfect sense for maximum visibility but still a little apprehensive. Playing the devil's advocate, shouldn't you be able to see a lower GPS signal strength in the DJI Go4 app?

I'm not married to Apple. To the contrary, seems like a bad bet paying $400 to $? (used) for something that struggles to do the job done . Last time I looked, a gen 5 mini with cell and wifi is almost $700 (?!). That ain't happening. What model Samsung tablet are you running?

But basically UAS guys are up the creek till the Prez leaves. If it has to be, better this time of year. Very windy in the winters down here. At least on the coast where I am.
