    Getting Started With Thermal

Congrats on obtaining your advanced! If your budget allows, I would opt for the M2EA. The Autel Evo 2 Thermal is a comparable piece of hardware, but quite a bit more money. The M2E (not radiometric) and Anafi Thermal are very low resolution so much more limited use case. I completed that...

    Hello From Ontario!

Welcome to the forum, fellow Canadian. Not sure what budget you’re working with, but I may have a VERY low hour M300 with H20T and D-RTK 2 for sale in the next few weeks. There hasn’t been much work for a drone of this size in my area.

    Another Job offer.

I had a similar experience up here in Canada with a similar company. They wanted me to map ~200Ha in controlled airspace (near a city airport) with my M300 and P1, using RTK, for ~$350USD($450CDN). The job was 520 mile round trip.

    Hello from Canada

Welcome to the forum! I’m out west in Alberta. As AJKM mention, first step is to educate yourself on safe and legal operation. You will likely need to do a decent amount of research to determine what equipment is most suitable for your tasks/budget, as the number of available options are growing...

    Droners.io bid question

I’m somewhere in the middle. I wear jeans, a t-shirt, hi-vis vest with my company logo and ball cap with company logo. If it’s a construction site I trade the ball cap for hard hat, and add work boots and safety glasses.

    Droners.io bid question

It seems these brokers are all alike. There’s a new outfit here in Canada that’s a partnership between the drone flight school I used and a processing platform. They wanted me to map ~200Ha with my M300RTK and P1(which I would’ve had to buy or rent), 260 miles ( one way) from me, for $450 +...

I didn’t end up needing the payload so I didn’t make a purchase.

What Tripod & center pole used for GPS Base / Rove, and GCP’s

I may have linked the wrong listing, I’ll take another look. Mine are identical to this and came with a carry bag and, basically, tent pegs. **EDIT** I was mistaken. Looking back at my amazon orders I realize that I purchased the bag/pegs separately. Total for the GCPs, bag and pegs was $132CDN...

    Looking for vendor review/feedback

That could very well be the case. However, there’s plenty of times that I’ve seen products grossly overpriced here in Canada. Quite often I’ve ordered products from the US and saved 10-20% after paying all fees. I purchased a new truck in 2017, I could’ve went south of the border to Montana and...

    Looking for vendor review/feedback

Thanks for your reply! The company is, indeed, Chinese based. The spotlight I was referring to from this vender is the GL60. Here is the link to their listing. https://www.uavfordrone.com/product/zoom-spotlights-searchlights-for-dji-matrice-300/ I’ve been comparing it to the Z15 to determine...

    Looking for vendor review/feedback

Hi everyone. Not sure if this is in the right section, but if not, mods feel free to move/remove. Wondering if anybody has any experience with this company: https://www.uavfordrone.com/ I’ve been looking at their M200/M300 spotlight. Including shipping it’s nearly $1200USD cheaper than buying...

Megaphones on drones for search and rescue

Hello Katherine, if you have a unit for Matrice 300 I would be quite interested in testing and reviewing for you. I’ve been researching these type of units and haven’t decided on one for purchase as of yet. I would like to volunteer my services to the local volunteer SAR so this could be an...
