Was curious if anyone has stumbled upon a good "flyer" or "pamphlet" that they keep in their back pockets for when someone approaches them concerned about privacy. Something that explains how they are legally operating under 107 and whatnot. Something that is also easy to understand and not cumbersome to read though legal language. Any leads would be great!

Thanks!

Every state sets their own privacy laws. Federal laws pertain to Constitutional standards for search and seizure, there is no federal Constitutional right to personal privacy. So you would need a pamphlet developed for local laws. Then again, people agitated over their privacy being violated would rather stuff that pamphlet up your backside and won’t read it first. Save your money and the Proctologist fee and don’t bother with it.

The local and state laws are all different so I doubt there are any like what you describe that you could actually use unless it was done locally.

I don't know what state you're in, but here in California, it's pretty clear. FAA lets you fly wherever you want, depending on their own authorization rules, but what you photograph is another story. Here, you can fly over private property all you want, but it is unlawful to fly over private property with the intent to photograph private persons/families engaging in private or family activities without prior permission. Best to get it in writing, as well, with the date, time and location to compare with your flight logs in case of a dispute. This is due to paparazzi using drones to try to photograph celebrities, but it applies to everyone.
