I'd like to expand my operation and looking for what's out there, UAS/sensor combinations?
I think @FloridaDroneSupply requires a 20 mega pixel camera for their pilots, either a Phantom 4 Pro/Advanced or Mavic 2 Pro.I'd like to expand my operation and looking for what's out there, UAS/sensor combinations?
interesting, didn't think those could handle the EM around these towers...I think @FloridaDroneSupply requires a 20 mega pixel camera for their pilots, either a Phantom 4 Pro/Advanced or Mavic 2 Pro.
I was told the inspections being done out here, West Coast, from San Luis Obispo to the CA/Oregon Border( for PG&E.) were using Inspire 2 with X7, cameras along with the Matrice 210 using the X5S.interesting, didn't think those could handle the EM around these towers...

Cool, didn't see any microwave. This was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro. Go to 1:35 for close ups of the antennas.
I have seen them before for sure. That must be on a hill? The tower is so short and the antennas close to the ground. Also, nice Element, got one myself.Appreciate the feedback, TJ. MW antennas look like these; my understanding is they will interfere with the electronics (compass, IMU, GPS)

LOL. Full disclosure, stole that pic from the web.I have seen them before for sure. That must be on a hill? The tower is so short and the antennas close to the ground. Also, nice Element, got one myself.

Interesting conversation. I'm fascinated by any kind of tower, so I'm filming them a lot. 90% of the time, there's no issue, but once in a while I get the "Strong A/C Interference" message. And one time, I had a complete disconnect. Thankfully RTH worked fine. I'm flying a Mavic Air. Anyone know if the Mavic Pro or Pro2 would do better in such an environment?
Thanks. Just got me an M600 Pro , own a Z3 but looking for a Z30. Want to stay well away from those towers.I have spoken to one tower pilot and he suggested a P4Pv2 or an i1v2 or i2. The M2 is giving promising results. Out West by request of the Contractor they are waning a X5 on the drone platform. Some do i2's and others a M200/210. It all depends on the client.

For a cell tower inspection, you need to be way closer than that. Don’t you?
