I have done many drone flights for mapping, using P4P which has a global shutter of course.
Now a client of mine is flying their project with the X7 16mm lens which is rolling shutter.
We typically fly at 350' AGL.
I compiled one of their flights with Metashape, and compared to same site flown several times before.
We control with GCP's, this is not RTK.

The results from their fight were good. The point cloud had about the same aberration from control and check shots we always get.
That is like a few tenths or so.
The photos were not as sharp as the P4P, likely due to the rolling shutter.
Other than that, I'm trying to advise the client on if they should get different equipment.
Its funny because if I had not known about their camera change, as they used to use an X4 I think, it had global shutter, I would not know the difference.
I thought it was a focus issue at first.
Can anyone advise or give examples of problems to look for?
Our GCP's are pretty far apart, say 600 ft or more, but we do have check shots between to watch for error.
thx
