Depending on the size of the tower, couldn’t you use one or two visual observers and fly the circular paths?

Not necessarily. Imagine a 2 million square foot automobile plant, or a stadium, Or a conference center. There are cases where a drone would be significantly faster, safer, and provide better coverage. The issue would be flying in atti mode.although, I wonder if RTK might help with that.

I have read in several places that for the “MLS Is Back” tournament, ESPN will be using a drone mounted camera as part of its coverage. I’m wondering if anyone knows what drone and camera they are going to use.

I’ve always looked at those maximum flight range statistics the same way I look at top speed stats on cars. Sure, it‘s capable of going 207mph, but that doesn’t mean you can do that whenever or wherever you want.
