"Must be nice flying toys all day" - *sigh*

Yeah I hear it all the time too. My response is "Yeah this job has its ups and downs". Most get it hehe

    M210 RTK v2 - Mapping Apps

Can't you just use Dronedeploy to collect the photos and just skip having them process it? Also contact Drones Made Easy, they are the creators of Map Pilot, they support the M210 V2 so their app may be a good option, they don't list the M210 RTK V2 specifically, they do separately list the...

    YUMA/MCAS Class D

I am relatively close by and have a wide area authorization for it but haven't gotten a project out that way yet.

    Out of Stock?

I would imagine props and batteries compatible with the old P4s will be around due to the P4 RTK for quite awhile

    LIDAR Set ups

You may also want to consider looking into a system that uses a Pixhawk 2.1 with the Cube BLUE version for the Flight Controller. The Cube is the computer part of the flight controller, and the BLUE is made in the USA. The others are all made in Taiwan, and they are NOT friends with China. As...

Clients wants aerial Real Estate pics for $1.42 each

It is a sad state currently for the photography and video folks. I don't see that changing unfortunately, its a low hanging fruit that many consider easy to grab and not very valuable. For anyone trying to build their business I think the best advice is coming up with value adds. Maybe offer...

Another "Drone hit my airplane" Story Looks to be false

True on all points, I guess what I mean is that in the future it will be more feasible to crop dust larger farms. For that large of a farm (5000+ acres) it would require something bigger than 55lbs to be economical. Sure maybe not now, but 10 years from now, heck 20 years from now I don't see...

Another "Drone hit my airplane" Story Looks to be false

Crop dusters are not GA, they do aerial work. Much of which is essentially going to be done by drone anyways and is slowly heading that way. By GA I mean personal recreational and private transport flyers.

Another "Drone hit my airplane" Story Looks to be false

You are probably right, but the professional UAS industry is going to dwarf GA at some point :) Then we shall see how much love the UAS industry is going to have for the concerns of GA once roles reverse. But I am just venting. Hopefully we can come up with workable and livable compromises.

Another "Drone hit my airplane" Story Looks to be false

Fixed wing fliers fake frenzy foiled - Rod Vaughan update - sUAS News - The Business of Drones I agree with the author wholeheartedly, in general there should be "No GA Below 2K" (2000ft AGL), with exceptions for takeoff, landing, certain air tourism hotspots etc. Leave the lower airspace for...

Is a Part 107 Remote Pilot required to report other people unauthorized actions?

Since we are stirring the pot...... The illegal acts listed are all pretty heinous acts. It's easy to use those as a straw man for the sake of argument. I think that some illegal acts are profoundly worse than others. Speeding in a car is illegal. So should we report everyone going more...

FAA bans cargo shipment of lithium-ion batteries on passenger flights

Yeah the concern is pallets full of batteries. Let's ban cell phones and ipads they got batteries too. You want to be on the plane with someone whos smart phone blew up? Google it, plenty of videos on the internet.

Is a Part 107 Remote Pilot required to report other people unauthorized actions?

You forget the GA (general aviation) guys crashing from time to time. Those investigations takeup a lot of time and involve dead people, so excuse the understaffed local FSDO for not giving a rats about someone flying their mavic over people with no injuries involved.
