Aye, and it's these knee jerk reactions bills by uneducated people (regarding drones) that's going to cause issues. Then again if the bill goes through and it's so badly written, that leaves a lot of loop holes for people to get out of trouble, so that's good/bad. Like the mobile phone laws while driving. When they first came out they said (in short) "you can't make or take phone calls while driving in your vehicle". So you get pulled over by the police, they say "hey you were making a phone call on your phone" and way to get out of it was "No officer, I was actually surfing the internet and looking at highly disturbing porn...". Point being the law specifically said it was illegal to make or take calls, it did not address surfing the internet, writing emails, paying a bill online..........
Hence later the law was changed to a ban on operating handheld electronics (such as phones) while driving (thus covering the above poor excuse).
My guess it that if it goes through, the loop holes will be used which will result in someone having to write a better bill. Now if you don't mind I have to drive to the shops while watching a movie on my VR headset...... hey, I'm not holding it in my hand!
