Introduce Yourself!

Hello all. My name's Jamaal (38yo )from Las Vegas. I'm in the process of a startup drone business. I have background in mechanics and electrical (low and high voltage) and I'll live been building performance vehicles for 15+ years.

I never fully got into drones although I can fly well but now I'm kicking myself in the butt for not getting more into it. They're went so affordable when they first hit the scene anyway. I had a few drones and was just going to pull the trigger on a Mavic 3 pro but I'm glad I didn't because the 4 pro just came out.

Although hard to come across at the moment, I can't get a 3 pro if I can get a 4pro for the same price so I'm waiting until I purchase to get the LLC. I'm going to take the 107 in a couple weeks. I have 3 engines to rebuild at the moment so it's taking up a lot of my time.

How many pilots from Vegas in here?
If you haven't done so already, make sure you join the MavicPilots.com community as you'll likely find some LV pilots there...

Hi all, my name is Jason Farrell, located in Washington State. I am in the process of getting my commercial license, and I intend to start up a single pilot drone services business focused on photography/videography/mapping/thermal. I was recently impacted by a company layoff and I am not interested in going back to the corporate grind - so here we are.

I have flown a DJI Mini 2 for a few years and had a lot of fun with it. I recently purchased an Autel Evo Max 4T XE enterprise drone, and I am just starting to read through the manual and get acquainted. I wanted something that would allow me to expand my skillset and the services I can offer over time. I'd love to hear from anyone who is currently flying the Evo Max, hear about your experiences, etc.

I am very interested in learning from all of you folks who have been doing this for a while. Better to learn from those who have gone before than stumble into the same mistakes and potholes that might have been avoided.

Grateful to be here!
