Introduce Yourself!

Hi All, my name is John Vermeer and I live in Sydney Australia where we are enjoying a few days of 40 degree celsius temperatures which makes flying here interesting but
the quad motors cope well. I have flown in 44 degrees and no problem with the motors I do have to watch the batteries though.
This will seem strange to some of you as you are having lots of snow and freezing temperatures and needing to pre-warm your batteries.
I just wish to compliment those concerned with this Forum it is great, well done. Cheers, John

Name is Allen and I live with my lovely wife of 28 years in the gorgeous Great Smoky Mountains (live in Clyde, NC)
  • sUAS operator 45 years (blows my mind LOL) flying everything from Free-Flight, to gliders, R/C Jets, Seaplanes, Helicopters and of course now MultiRotors (aka Drones)
  • Manned Aircraft Part 61 Pilot 21 years (SEL)
  • Owner/Operator of A Shot Above of WNC, LLC out of Waynesville, NC. We are a full service Aerial Data Acquisition company working in Residential, Commercial, and Emergency Services industries. We fly for Emergency Services on the local and stage (NC) level both operationally and training.

We have a "few" sUAS we use for both pleasure and work. Most are DJI but we have others for special operations/needs.

Hey All,
I’m Tony. I’ve been flying drones a couple of years now. I’ve been a licensed pilot since the late 90’s. I recently decided to try and turn my passion into profit. I’m looking forward to using you guys knowledge and input in helping me further my endeavor. I would rate myself a a fairly skilled pilot but I have quite a bit to learn when it comes to photography.
Blue Skies,
Tony

I am looking to branch into commercial drone aviation and am here to learn more about that. I love all things aviation and am looking forward to interacting with this group. Cheers!
